ECDL becomes ICDL – The Digital Skills Standard.

The same international digital certification standard, under a new global name – International Certification of Digital Literacy.

ICDL – International Certification of Digital Literacy – is the most widespread digital skills certification standard, recognized nationally and internationally. The ICDL certificate is used and recognized in over 100 countries  by reputable companies, in administration or educational institutions prestigious. 

Who are ICDL certifications aimed at?

Young people, pupils, students, teachers, civil servants or company employees can prove their digital skills through ICDL certifications. There is no age limit for enrolling in the ICDL certification program.

ICDL advantages

• The students who hold the Certificate ICDL BAC PROFILE can equal their Digital Competences test from the National Baccalaureate Exam. The level of digital competence on the Baccalaureate diploma will be: “advanced user" for candidates who obtain the ICDL PROFILE START BAC Certificate (4 modules); “experienced user" for candidates who obtain the ICDL PROFIL BAC Certificate (6 modules).
• Teachers from pre-university education who hold the ICDL Certificate can benefit from professional credits.
• The Romanian Ministry of Education recognizes ECDL/ICDL certification, obtained based on ECDL/ICDL standards, as a "computer operator certificate valid in the education system".
