Customer Experiences
The Leadership Program is a complex one, it is more than a presentation of some information. If I were to draw a parallel with personal life, I would say it can be called adapting to/adopting a new lifestyle. The program helps to understand and know ourselves as well as the people we interact with, the way we behave and react in various situations, especially borderline ones. Among the workshops organized by the trainer, the route includes the possibility of choosing a mentor, as well as working in squads (teams) – interactions that happen between learning sessions and in which we solve various exercises and activities with the role of deepening concepts and transfer in their daily life at work. Specifically, within Dataware, this program has had an impact particularly in improving communication, both internally - between colleagues and externally - with customers/partners etc., and I think the two main factors that contributed to this were the sessions about different communication and relationship preferences (applying the DISC profile) and, last but not least, working in sprints and interacting with squad mates.

The format was useful, ideal. That was a lot of information in a short amount of time, but that's how we approach technical training with clients. The practice is very useful after each online session, and the trainer was indispensable – it is mandatory to have sessions with the trainer, because he can take you through the multitude of information, which in soft skills is often interpretable, there can be different implementation options. The pace was ok because it made us focus and know that for a period of 3-4 months (= determined and relatively short) we have this as a priority. I liked the program and it was interesting from the beginning and I was "all in" from the construction of the DISC profiles, because I understood that everyone has expectations from those around them to behave like themselves and it is important to an adaptation of communication happens, and the leader creates harmony in his team.

The program was useful for me, and in the first place were the courses with the trainer, because they eased the process of understanding the concepts in depth; then I would mention the 1-1 meeting with the trainer, because you discuss "for yourself, for your way of being". Also, the courses in the platform were very interesting and helpful. I especially liked them because: on the one hand, many of them had videos and there was very little text to read - they didn't give me the feeling that I was in "school" or a strictly written course and that's it . On the other hand, the quizzes were "friendly", they helped you see if you really understood the information, and they didn't make me feel "tested", "verified", that someone was watching if I made a mistake. I found it very useful, it kept me engaged, I entered the workshops relaxed and happy; you are dynamic, charismatic and this matters a lot.

The part of communication with the team helped me to learn that we are not all the same, but different, that everyone has their needs, that everyone thinks in a certain different way. This helped me to understand that I had to adapt, because I often had strict expectations from others. In our 6 sessions I learned a lot about being a better leader. Knowing myself and understanding others better, through personality types, motivators, leadership styles for different situations or people. Building a trusting work relationship through active listening, sharing feelings, sharing feedback, recognizing achievements in a better way. I still need to work a LOT on myself and my leadership style, which I hope will come in small steps. I already received feedback from others that I show good leadership experience, even though I have been a people leader since 8 months. I am actively trying to give specific feedback on positive changes made by colleagues around me. Supporting my direct reports to self-awareness, helping development, trying to further strengthen the trusting relationship. During our sessions I learned to be more conscious as a leader. Understand the diversity and how we are built differently in terms of personality, motivators, needs. Knowing ourselves and others better will help us communicate more efficiently, get the job done better, faster, while having a trusting work atmosphere.
